Earning By Web Designing

By: Richard Butler

There are exceptional individuals who really are born with an amazing skill. Like designers, although they have studied design, they have a skill that makes their design different and creative. Although you can study design you still need to have the creativity within you.

With such skills a designer could earn extra money. However before you get too excited, know that there are a lot of competitors out there. There are companies that sell templates designed by their designers. The key here is that the template might be sold to many people - it is not unique.

Since there is competition you need to target your customers in a specific way in fact don't just wait for customers to come to you - Look for customers! You might contact existing websites whose designs might need to be refreshed! One way is to offer them some free advice, and then ask them if they wish you to help them! Here are a few tips for you:

1.)You are a web designer, make sure your website looks really good and creatively done. It will directly affect your credibility as a designer.

2.) Analyze your pricing. Choose the best pricing strategy you can think of. See what others charge, don't be too cheap or too expensive.

3.) Make sure that you reply fast as soon as people contact you.

4.) Always provide customers with alternative designs.

5.) Explain to them why your design fits their website.

Another strategy to consider is that you should find people who provide reseller hosting. You can simply tie in or Joint Venture with these individuals, having them provides hosting while you provide custom web designs. Remember it's not just about designing; it’s also about how you market your designs. Read up about marketing, and consider the use of Joint Ventures as this can be very profitable.
